The ASEAN Blue Innovation Challenge
The ASEAN Blue Innovation Challenge sounds like a fantastic initiative to drive innovation for sustainable development in the ASEAN and Timor-Leste regions. Addressing climate issues, marine plastic pollution, sustainable fisheries, and sustainable tourism are crucial for building a resilient and prosperous future for these communities.
The funding support provided by UNDP and the Government of Japan offers significant opportunities for startups, SMEs, NGOs, civil society organizations, researchers, and academics to turn their innovative ideas into impactful solutions. This program is funded up to $40,000 for each of the 60 promising ideas in the blue economy. I hope this initiative will inspire many creative minds to contribute to the blue economy and promote sustainability in this region. Together, we are building a sustainable future for our communities!
For anyone interested in participating, remember to mark the registration deadline on May 31, 2024, in your calendar and make sure to explore the application process and guidelines provided in the registration form and handbook.
