Training on Scientific Writing for Dissemination of Research Results

Course Focus: Scientific Writing for Dissemination of Research Results
This course aims to help improve the quality of leprosy researches conducted by young researchers in the endemic countries, including Indonesia, and enhance the chance of the research results to be published in reputable peer-reviewed scientific journals. The course is, therefore, structured to equip its participants with essential skills in scientific writing to disseminate research findings including structuring the manuscript, visualising data, ensuring quality and consistency, choosing an appropriate journal and navigate the submission and review process.
Format:
* Blended Approach: Combining online learning with face-to-face workshops.
* Online Training: Scheduled for August 2024, lasting about 10 hours.
* Workshop Dates: 7-10 October 2024, held at Warmadewa University, Denpasar, Bali.
Target Group:
The course is targeting researchers residing in leprosy endemic countries, including Indonesia. To be eligible to participate, interested researchers should have collected research data and have done (preliminary) analysis, leading to (preliminary) results which they can use during the training.
Mentorship:
Participants will receive guidance from experienced mentors throughout the workshop.
Outcome:
Participants will leave with a zero draft of their manuscript and receive certificates upon completion of both online and workshop components.
Special Edition Publication:
Selected papers from the workshop will be published in a special edition of the Journal of Southeast Asian Human Rights (J-SEAHR).
